CAPITAL DISTRICT YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE
Ballston Spa Youth Basketball is open to all students in the Ballston Spa School District in grades 4th* - 8th. Each team competes as a part of our school districts program in the CDYBL.
*younger students, that are physically and emotionally mature enough, are eligible to try out for the 4th grade team.
WHAT IS CDYBL?
CDYBL stands Capital District Youth Basketball League and it is the most competitive basketball league for student-athletes in grades 4 through 8.
Only students who currently live in the Ballston Spa School District, or live in a neighboring district that doesn't have a CDYBL team and petition to play for Ballston Spa with the Capital District Youth Basketball League, are allowed to tryout for the Ballston Spa teams.
Students in 7th and 8th grade that play for school teams outside of Ballston Spa are not eligible for the 7th and 8th grade CDYBL teams.
